LCE is a media production company that creates innovative content for film, television, streaming platforms, home video, and themed entertainment attractions across the globe. The company was founded by producing partners Roger Lay, Jr. & Eric Carnagey as a vehicle to help create entertainment content that brings back the sense of wonder and optimism found in the storytelling that shaped their youths.
Over the past 15 years, LCE has built an eclectic and innovative portfolio of projects for a wide variety of clients and partners that includes Legendary, Universal Pictures, CBS/Paramount, The CW, eOne and Tubi, to name a few. LCE is a turnkey creative and production entity that oversees all aspects of its projects – from development to delivery of final masters.
From films based on beloved intellectual properties such as Universal’s Aliens Ate My Homework series, to specials for fan-favorite entertainment franchises such as Star Trek and The Twilight Zone and all the way to groundbreaking theme park attractions such as Legendary’s Pacific Rim: Shatterdome Strike, LCE continues to push the boundaries of creativity and cutting edge execution across a wide spectrum of entertainment arenas.
Most recently LCE has been responsible for the development and production of Tubi’s award-winning original thriller Lowlifes, The CW’s critically acclaimed limited series Greatest Geek Year Ever!, the upcoming music series Spyro Gyra: Access All Areas and Paramount’s upcoming young adult drama This Is What Happy Looks Like, based on the best-selling novel by Jennifer E. Smith.








ROGER LAY, JR. is a founding partner at Lay-Carnagey Entertainment. Some of his recent film producing credits include Universal Pictures’ Aliens Ate My Homework (based on Simon & Schuster’s best-selling children’s book series), HBO/ThinkFilm’s 95 Miles to Go starring Ray Romano, eOne’s award-winning sci-fi feature Chrysalis — based on the short story by internationally-acclaimed author Ray Bradbury, and the award-winning indie drama The Year I Did Nothing.
He directed the large format 3D ride film at the heart of Legendary Pictures’ groundbreaking Pacific Rim: Shatterdome Strike theme park attraction, which Entertainment Weekly described as “jaw-dropping” and is currently producing and serving as a second unit director on Universal’s Aliens Stole My Body. His most recent project as director/producer is The Twilight Zone’s 60th-anniversary special: Remembering Rod Serling, which celebrates 6 decades of the landmark television series and explores the life and legacy of its creator. It premiered in theaters nationwide on November 14, 2019, via Fathom Events, and will be released on home video in February 2020 by CBS Home Entertainment.
Roger is also the Saturn Award-winning producer/director of various other specials for CBS including Reunification – 25 Years After Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Enterprise – First Crew, Kindred: The Embraced – Last Will and Testament, Wolf Lake: The Original Werewolf Saga, and the Star Trek 50th Anniversary projects — Star Trek: Inside the Roddenberry Vault and Star Trek: The Journey to the Silver Screen.
Roger also directed the pulse-pounding 3D ride film for Trans Studio Bali’s Road Rage: Wasteland Escape attraction. He has also produced & directed dozens of documentaries, music videos, and promotional pieces for clients such as eOne, Sony/BMG, Hershey’s, Cirque Du Soleil / Vidanta, Universal, Manhattan Regional Center, Broadway 4D Theaters, KCET, and CBS/Paramount. He is a member of the Producer’s Guild of America and a moderator/host at various media events and venues throughout the year, including San Diego Comic-Con, The American Cinematheque, and the official CBS Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas, to name a few.

ERIC CARNAGEY is a founding partner at Lay-Carnagey Entertainment and has been in executive positions for several entertainment and financial start-ups over the last decade, including media production and location-based attractions, entertainment design and production services.
Eric has served on the executive management team for the development and production of world-class entertainment projects such as Six Flags’ Glow In The Park Parades, Galaxy Macau Resort & Casino, Studio City Macau Casino Resort, Lotte World’s Let’s Dream! Nighttime Parade, Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park, Chimelong Ocean Kingdom Expansion, Hengdian World Studios Dream Bund, Vingroup’s SeaShell Aquarium, Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival, Beyond Wonderland, Nocturnal Wonderland and Escape from Wonderland live music festivals, as well as the recently opened Trans Studio Cibubur and Trans Studi Bali Indoor Theme Parks. Recently, Eric served as Executive Producer for both the Pacific Rim: Shatterdome Strike attraction at Trans Studio Cibubur, which opened in August 2019, and the Road Rage: Wasteland Escape attraction at Trans Studio Bali.
For LCE, Eric oversees the development and production of animation and live-action media projects for theme parks, SVOD, theatrical, TV series, and other platforms. In the Location Based Entertainment space, he has facilitated IP licenses and acquisitions between Rights Holders/Studios and Developers/Operators and helped successfully produce new entertainment offerings and experiences for existing brands in new markets. Eric also served as producer on Aliens Ate My Homework, the live action film franchise adaptation of the best-selling book series for Netflix via Universal 1440 Entertainment. He is currently producing the sequel, Aliens Stole My Body, set to release in 2020. Eric graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.
