Welcome to the tropical island paradise known as the Zoobak Resort, home of the Beachbuds. The Beachbuds are a group of feathered friends who live and work together at the resort. When they’re not busy giving guests their best day ever, they go on fun-filled adventures the whole family will enjoy watching. Every episode is a vacation that you’ll never want to end! “The Beachbuds” animated series entertains kids while teaching them about harmony and hospitality with plenty of laughs.
The show’s colorful cast of characters includes Bayo – the resort’s authority on hospitality, Alejandro – the eccentric lifeguard, Nola – the gritty and pretty security guard, Mr. Putu – the reluctant manager, Pon Pon – the hot-tempered chef and Ozo – the irascible handyman.
Warner Bros. Discovery Latin America recently acquired streaming and Pay-TV rights to the series with the first episodes premiering on July 4th. This follows previously announced deals with The Walt Disney Company for Japan, Disney+ Hotstar for Southeast Asia, and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for Australia. More global broadcast/streaming dates will be announced shortly.
The series was made possible by J-Toon Productions, a U.S. and Indonesian firm, established in 2013 by industrialist and minerals magnate Jimmy Budiarto, and Montreal-based Syon Media. The show’s writing staff includes Primetime Emmy winner Steven Banks (“Lego: City Adventures,” “SpongeBob SquarePants”) Ken Goin (“Family Guy,” “Tripping the Rift”) and John R Morey (“Family Guy,” “The George Lopez Show”) Director George Samilski (“The Dragon Prince,” “Reboot,” “Stormhawks”) oversees the animation team. J-Toon Animation president Iskander Tjahjadi serves as executive producer. Lay-Carnagey Entertainment founding partners Roger Lay, Jr. & Eric Carnagey also served as executive producers in this initial season of fun-filled episodes!
